2、onelydwellerinland.Underthegeneralnameof“EgdonHeath,”whichhasbeengiventothesombresceneofthestory,areunitedortypifiedheathsofvariousrealnames,tothenumberofatleastadozen;thesebeingvirtuallyoneincharacterandaspect,thoughtheiroriginalunity,orpartialunity,isnowsomewhatdisguised
