4、ntrolofenterprises.ThepresidentofZTEisHouWeigui.HewasthefounderofShenzhencityWeixiantongZTEequipmentlimitedcompany(thecompanyisaprivateenterprise),isthelargestshareholderofthecompany.InApril1993,aftertheestablishmentofajointventurecompanyinShenzhenZhong
5、xingAerospaceGuangyuIndustrialCompany,ownedbyChineseAerospaceCorporationShenzhenZTEWeixiantongEquipmentCo.Ltd.,thenewcompanypresidentHouWeiguizte.Sincethen,theZteCorphasbeenestablished,andHouWeiguihasservedaspresidentofzte.ZTEisconsideredastate-ownedent
6、erprisebecausestate-ownedsharesareinacontrollingposition.Butasaresultoftheinstitutionalarrangementsmentionedabove,theenterprisedoesnothavemanydisadvantages(atleastnotserious)ofthestate-ownedenterprises.HUAWEIisapurelyprivateenterprise,andthecompany'scon
