5、couplingatthetemperatureofthedualQuark-GluonPlasma.Westudythethermodynamicsofthesystemanditsdeparturefromconformality,whichisasecondordereffect.Wethenanalyzetheenergylossofpartonsmovingthroughtheplasma,findingthatthefundamentaldegreesoffreedomenhancethejetquenching.Thewh
6、olesetupisgeneralizedtoD3-D7systemswithD3-branesplacedatthetipofagenericsingularCalabi-Yauconeoverafive-dimensionalSasaki-Einsteinmanifold.WefinallyprovidetheequationsfortheinclusionofmassiveflavorsintheN=4SYMplasma.11IntroductionThe“fireballs”experimentallyproducedatRHICa
7、ndtheonesthatwillbeproducedattheLHCcontainanon-zerofractionofdegreesoffreedominthefundamentalrepresentation[1]:theyaretrulyQuark-GluonPlasmasratherthanjustGluonPlasmas.Whileholographicmethodsprovideinterestingtoolstoanalyzethesesystems,theyhavemainlybeenconcernedwithpl
