3、wexamples.Itissimplynotagoodintroductorytext.Ontheotherhand,Jacksonwasveryambitious.Asidefromsomenotableomissions(suchasconformalmappingmethods),Jacksonexposesthereadertomostofclassicalelectro-magnetictheory.EvenThomasAquinaswouldbeimpressed!Asareference,Jackson’sbookisgreat
4、!ItisobviousthatJacksonknowshisstuff,andinnoplaceisthismoreapparentthanintheproblemswhichheasksattheendofeachchapter.Sometimestheproblemsarequitesimpleorroutine,othertimesdifficult,andquiteoftentherewillbeundauntingamountsofalgebrarequired.Solvingtheseproblemsisatimeconsumingen
5、devourforeventhequickestreckonersamongus.IpresentthisCompaniontoJacksonasamotivationtootherstudents.Theseproblemscanbedone!Anditdoesn’ttakeFeynmanntodothem.Hopefully,withthehelpofthisguide,lotsofpaper,andyourownwits;you’llbeabletowrestlewiththeconceptsthatchallengedthegreate
