3、ismthroughwhichacompanyobtainsproductiveassetsinanothercountry.FDIisdifferentfromothermajorformsofforeigninvestmentinthatitismotivatedlargelybythelong-termprofitprospectsinproductionactivitiesthatinvestordirectlycontrol(Wong,2005).Mostofthedevelopingandleastdevelopedcountriesworldwideequallypartici
4、patedintheprocessofdirectinvestmentactivities.Overalongperiodoftime,foreigndirectinvestment(FDI)formsamajorpartofinvestmentinmostindustrialandsomedevelopingcountries.Inthelast2decades,foreigndirectinvestment(FDI)flowshavegrownrapidlyallovertheworld.Thisisbecausemanycountriesandespeciallydevelopingc
5、ountriesseeFDIasanimportantelementintheirstrategyforeconomicdevelopment(Adams,2009).AccordingtoWikipedia,theUnitedStatesistheworld’slargestrecipientofFDI.Morethan$325.3billioninFDIflowedintotheUnitedStatesin2008,whichisa37percentincreasefrom2007.SomeFDIis45TheDeterminantsofForeignDirectInvestment(F
