4、ircuits1.INTRODUCTIONUniplanartechnologyhasreceivedconsiderableattentionwithregardtolow-costandhigh-performancemicrowaveintegratedcircuits(MICs)andmicrowavemonolithicintegratedcircuits(MMICs),especiallyinthemillimeter-waverange[1–3].Thisisduetothemeritsnotrequiringviaholesforcon
5、nectingcircuitelementstotheground,eliminationofthebacksideprocesses,simplerealizationofseriesandshuntcircuitcomponents,easyintegrationwithsolid-statedevicesandotherlumpedelements,andlowsensitivitytosubstratethickness[4].Furthermore,thistechnologyallowsflexiblecircuitdesignusingm
6、ixedtransmissionlinessuchascoplanarwaveguide(CPW),slotline,andcoplanarstripline.Subharmonicmixingisveryusefulatmillimeterwavefrequenciesduetotheavailabilityoflow-costlower-frequencylocaloscillators(LOs).BalancedsubharmonicmixershavetheadvantagesoftheinherentLO-to-RFisolationandt
