3、thanIoftenwouldliketo,andtheburdenofraisingtwoyounggirlswouldsometimesfalltooheavilyonMichelle.Butbetweenmyownexperiencesgrowingup,andmyongoingeffortstobethebestfatherIcanbe,I’velearnedacoupleofthingsaboutwhatourchildrenneedmostfromtheirparents.First,theyn
4、eedourtime.Andmoreimportantthanthequantityofhourswespendwiththemisthequalityofthosehours.Maybeit’sjustaskingabouttheirday,ortalkingawalktogether,butthesmallestmomentscanhavethebiggestimpact.Theyalsoneedstructure,includinglearningthevaluesofself-disciplinea
5、ndresponsibility.MaliaandSashamayliveintheWhiteHousethesedays,butMichelleandIstillmakesuretheyfinishtheirschoolwork,dotheirchores,andwalkthedog.Andaboveall,childrenneedourunconditional无条件的;绝对的love–whethertheysucceedormakemistakes;whenlifeiseasyandwhenlifei
