本课题设计从电力工业在国民经济中的重要作用以及电力系统的组成，发电厂的类型谈起

2、，论述了发电厂电气部分设计在电力系统设计中的重要地位。针对发电厂电气部分设计中的重中之重——发电厂电气主接线设计做了重点阐述，其中包括电气主接线的基本要求、基本设计原则，电气主接线形式的分类，发电厂主变压器的选择设计以及发电厂电气主接线图的设计、绘制等。然后谈到了发电厂厂用电系统的设计，发电厂主要电气设备的选择以及为其选择设计做准备的短路电流计算，最后还简要提到了发电厂电气二次系统的设计。还要说明的是本课题所做的设计主要针对的是中、小型火力发电厂电气部分的设计。
