4、ituations.Otherresearchhasfoundthat18-mon-oldbabiescanmakejokeswithothertoddlersbeforetheycantalkbymakinggestures,noisesandsharedplay.Inthelateststudy,babieswatchedtheirparentreactnaturallytotwoordinaryevents,lookingatapicturebookandbeingshownasmallredfoamball
5、.Theeventswerethenchangedsothattheybecameabsurd:Theopenpicturebookwasbouncedontheresearcher’sheadwhileshesaid,“Zoop,Zoop”andthefoamballwasplacedontheresearcher’snosewhileshepokeditandsaid,“Beep,Beep”.Parentswereinstructedtoeitherstareattheresearcherwithanexpre
