3、ortantfactorinbiologyandplant-plantinteractionshasinspiredanincreasingconcerninrecentyears.Theinvestigationofinter-specificcompetitionisusefultorevealthemechanisminplantgrowthandreproductionoforganisms.Plantrootsystemsplayanimportantroleinuptakeofwaterandnut

4、rientsfromsoilforplantgrowth.However,itisstilladivergenttopicabouttheregulatingmechanismbetweenrootmorphologicalvariationsandcompetition.Thespatialdistribution,morphologyofplantrootsandabove-groundgrowthcanbeinfluencedbyinter-specificinteractions.Theirmorpho

5、logycharacteristicsandstructuredistributionwerestudiedtorevealtheadaptivemechanismofrootssysteminthesoilenvironment.ThedeWitseriesexperimentswereconductedtostudytherelationshipbetweenrelativecompetitiveabilityimmixtureandmonoculturealongsevenlevelsofdensitya

6、ttheexperimentstationofShiyangriverinSunancountryofGansuprovincein2010(latitude37°58′26〞N,longitude101°47′34〞E).Itwascarriedouttoanalyzeinter-specificinteractionbetweenAvenasativaL.andViciavillosaRoth.TakingtherootsbothAvenasativaL.andViciavillosaRothasthere
