1、TERMSANDCONDITION1.DEFINITIONS"Carrier"meansCOSCOcontainerlinescompanylimited."Merchant"includestheconsignor,theshipper,thereceiver,theconsignee,theowneroftheGoods,thelawfulholderorendorseeofthisBillofLading,oranyotherpersonhavinganypresentorfutureinterestintheGoodsorthisBillofLadi
2、ng,oranyoneauthorizedtoactonbehalfofanyoftheforegoing."Vessel",wherethecontextsoadmits,includestheVesselnamedinBox6ofthisBillofLadingoranysubstitutetherefore,andanyfeedervessel,lighterorbargeusedbyoronbehalfoftheCarrierinconnectionwithanyseabornelegofthecarriage."Sub-contractor"inc
3、ludesownersandoperatorsofvessels(otherthantheCarrier),stevedores,terminal,warehouse,depotandgroupageoperators,roadandrailtransportoperatorsandanyindependentcontractoremployedbytheCarrierintheperformanceofthecarriageandanysub-sub-contractorthereof.TheexpressionSub-contractorshallinc
4、ludedirectandindirectSub-contractorsandtheirrespectiveservants,agentsorSub-contractors."Goods"meansthewholeoranypartofthecargoreceivedfromtheMerchantandincludesanyContainernotsuppliedbyoronbehalfoftheCarrier."Package"meanseachContainerwhichisstuffedandsealedbyoronbehalfoftheMerchan
5、t,andnottheitemspackedinsuchContainerifthenumberofsuchitemsisnotindicatedonthefrontofthisBillofLadingorisindicatedbythetermssuchas“SaidtoContain”orsimilarexpressions."ShippingUnit"meansanyphysicalunitofcargonotshippedinapackage,includingmachinery,vehiclesandboats,exceptgoodsshipped
