3、orsegmentingtheobjeetcorrectlyinimageplane.Atthefirststage,thecontourofthemodelisdividedintoseveralsegmentshierarchicallythatdeformrespectivelyusingaf-finetransformation.Afterthecontourisdeformedtotheapproximateboundaryofobject,afinematchmecha—nismusingstatis
4、ticalinformationoflocalregiontoredefinetheexternalenergyofthemodelisusedtomakethecontourfittheobject~boundaryexactly.Thealgorithmiseffective,asthehierarchicalsegmentaldeformationmakesuseoftheglobeandlocalinformationoftheimage,theaffinetransformationkeepstheco
5、nsistencyofthemodel,andthereformativeapproachesofcomputingtheinternalenergyandexternalenergyareproposedtore—ducethealgorithmcomplexity.Theadaptivemethodofdefiningthesearchareaatthesecondstagemakesthemodelconvergequickly.Theexperimentalresultsindicatethatthepr
