2、igndirectinvestment,thissurveyoftheratiobetweenemployees,assetsandsalesofoverseasbranchestothetotalamountofemployees,assetsandsalesofparententerprisesindicates:thosewitharatiobelow10%are65.4%,54.2%and42.9%offirmsrespectively,whilethosewitharatioabove50%are6.4%,7.1%and15%offirmsrespectivel
3、y.Wecancometotwoconclusionsfromthesedata:first,theratiobetweenassets,employeesandbusinessofoverseasbranchedtothetotaloftheenterprisesremainsquitelow;second,comparedwithdomesticbusiness,overseasbusiness,withlowerratioof12staffandassets,hasachievedhigherproportionofsales,andtosomeextent,att
4、ainedthegoalofseekingabroadermarket.Thedistributionofalloverseasbranchesofenterprisesinvariouscontinuesshow:theenterprisessurveyedhave443overseasbranchesinall,32.5%ofthemareinAsia,15.6%inAfrica,11.7%inOceania,13.8%inNorthAmerica,16.9%inEurope,and9.5%inLatinAmerica.Owningtolocationandsimil
5、arculturalandeconomicconditions,Asiahasbecomethemostimportantgoingglobaldestinationofdomesticenterprises,AfricaandOceaniaareimportantdestinationsfortheirrichnaturalresources,whileNorthAmericaandEuropeanimportantdestinationspossiblybecauseoftheiradvancedeconomiesandrichtechnicalresources.(
6、II)Destinations,industriesandmethodsofinvestment1.GradualexpansionofinvestmentdestinationsMostofthenewestbranchesofenterprisessurveyedwereestablishedinthepast5years.At12thetimeofthesurvey,31%overseasbranchedhadbeenestablishedforlessthan1year,58.4%ofthemhadbeenestablishedfor1-5years,7%hadb
7、eenestablishedfor6-10%,andonly3.7%hadbeenestablishedforover10years.Asrevealedbythedatafromthesurveyedon“distributionofnewestoverseasbranchedinvariouscontinents”,amongthesebranches,48.7%ofthemareinAsia,17.1%inAfrica,12.7%inEurope,12.3%inNorthAmerica,4.8%inOceana,and4
