3、sonalexperiencewiththedifficultyofestablishingasuitableinformationsystemhasledtothedevelopmentofamethodologyforenduserstodeveloptheirownapplicationswithonlytheguidanceofinformationtechnologyprofessionals(ITPs)-hereentitled‘SmallUnitEnduserRapidApplicationDevelopment’orSERAD.Ad
4、atabasemanagementsystem(DBMS)isusedtomanagedataabout‘focalobjects’withstatusflagsandqueries/viewsatinterfacepointsthroughUDA(UserAction,DataEntry,ApplicationAction)cycles.Thesystemwhichpermitsdataentryalmostimmediately,notonlyeventualiycreatesafullapplication,butalsotrainsendu
5、sersintheprocess.ThemerhodologyleadsITPsandendusersthroughasequenceofexercisesinsystemsanalysis,tailoredtominimisethetimeandeffortinputofITPsdespitetherelativelackofITtrainingandconceptsinendusers,withaviewtorapidlycreatingdynamic,robustandsoundinformationsystems.Keywords:Smal
