2、anity”.Inthemodernsociety,Confucianismwasdeclassedfromitsprimaryrulingstatus,whichitonceheldformorethantwothousandyearsinChina.TheConfucianthoughthassufferedtwofatefulblowsinthe20thcentury,oneaimingattheorganizedConfucianistsandappealingtothefreedom,equalityandhumani
3、ty,andtheotheraimingattheConfucianhumanity,faithandbeliefaspeopleputmoneyandprofitaboveeverythingelseintoday’sChinainreformandopening.However,atthesametime,ConfucianismisthehistoricalinheritanceandculturaltraditioninChinaanditrenovatesitselfconstantly;ithasgreatimpac
4、tsonpeople’sthinkingatalltime.Furthermore,intoday’sChina,theregardonthetraditionalcultureandConfucianthoughthasneverbeenhigher.Fromthesupremeleaderstograssroots,everyonecanspeaksomewordsabouttheimportanceofdevelopingtraditionalculture.Eventheprincipleofrunningthecoun
5、trybyvirtueisadvocatedtogetherwiththeprincipleofrunningthecountrybylaw.Inthepracticalaspects,therehavebeenmanynewthingsspringing.Forinstance,theprojectofchantingConfucianclassicsamongtheChineseintheglobe(especiallyintheEastAsia)isintheascendant;theSchoolofConfuciusSt
6、udiesofRenminUniversityofChinahasbeenfounded;theprojecttocompile“Ru-Zhang”(thecompleteworksofConfucianism),themostmagnificentculturalprojectsincethefoundingofPRC,isinprogress.Now,theproblemstobesolvedaremainlyhowtomakepeoplerecognizeuniversallytheimportanceofthetradi
7、tionalConfucianismandhowtocarryforwarditsthinkingresourcesinthecurrentsocietyofChina.1.ThehistoricalreasontoreattachimportancetoConfucianismStability,whichisneededforbotheconomicconstructionandinvestmentabsorption,isexactlywhatConfucianismhasadvocated.Thiswasalreadyr
