3、na’stotalrenewableenergyoutputequaled8%ofnon-renewableenergygenerationor200millionMTofcoalequivalents,thoughcoalgeneratedpowerconsumptioncontinuedtoaccountfor69%oftotalenergyconsumptioninChina.China’sgoalisforrenewableenergytoaccountfor10%ofallenergyconsum
4、ptionby2010.InthemediumtermChinaplanstodevelop120,000MW’sofrenewableenergybytheyear2020;thiswouldaccountfor12%to16%ofChina’stotalinstalledenergyproducingcapacitythatyear.InthelongtermChinahassetanobjectiveofhaving30%ormoreofitstotalenergyrequirementssatisf
5、iedbyrenewablesourcesby2050.China'sambitiousgrowthtargetforrenewableenergyproductionwillrequireaninvestmentofapproximately2trillionYuan(~$263billionU.S.D.)by2020.OurgoalattheChinaRenewableEnergyandSustainableDevelopmentReportistoprovideauthoritative,timely
6、,informativeandusefulinformationabouttheemergingrenewableenergyandsustainabledevelopmentsectorsinChinaforglobalcompanieswhohaveproductsandservicestoselltoorbuyfromChina'srapidlygrowingrenewableenergyandsustainabledevelopmentsectorsandotherpolicymakers,NGOs
