5、248asteroids,beginningwith323Bruscia.Atpresent,around150,000asteroidshavebeendiscovered.Mostarespottedtodaybyautomatedsystemsthatpairtelescopeswithcomputers.AsteroidsvaryinsizefromCeres,withadiameterof570miles,totinybodiesthatareonlythesizeofpebbles.
