1、InternationalStudentsSouthwesternenrollsstudentsfromaroundtheglobe.InternationalstudentsstudyinthecapacityofbothSouthwesterndegree-seekingorexchangeprograms.TheSouthwesterncommunitybenefitsgreatlyfromtheculturaldiversitywhichallofthesestudentsbringtothecampus.S

2、inceoverhalfofitsstudentsstudyabroad,andmanyfacultyhaveexperienceteachingandconductingresearchoutsidetheUnitedStates,theSouthwesterncommunityiswelcomingofaninternationalpresenceoncampus.Internationalstudentsareregularlycalleduponfortheiruniqueperspectiveandexpe

3、rtise,andcontributegreatlytothedynamicanddiverseclimateatSouthwestern.AdmissionRequirementsAsaselectiveuniversity,Southwesternlooksforexcellenceinitsapplicants.Internationalstudentsmustmeetallofthefollowingcriteriatobeconsideredforadmission:•Completionofacompet

4、itivesecondaryschoolcurriculumwithstrongacademicperformance.•CourseworkshouldincludeatleastfouryearsofEnglish,fouryearsofmath,threeyearsofscience,twoyearsofforeignlanguage,threeyearsofsocialscienceandoneadditionalacademicelective.•Englishproficiency.Southwester

5、ndoesnotoffercoursesinEnglishasasecondlanguage.AllInternationalstudentsmustdemonstratemasteryofwrittenandoralEnglish.•StudentswhosefirstlanguageisnotEnglishmusttaketheTOEFL(TestofEnglishasaForeignLanguage)andachieveascoreof570onthewrittentestoran88ontheInternet

6、-basedtest.•StudentswhosefirstlanguageisEnglishmusttaketheSAT(ScholasticAssessmentTest)ortheACTTest.HowtoApplyToapplyforadmission,internationalstudentsmustsubmitallofthefollowing:•AcompletedApplicationforAdmission•Transcriptsofsecondaryschoolcourseworkthatlista
