1、ShanghaiUniversityANewMonitoringsystemtoDetectSnoringandSleepStateAbstract:Snoringisamoreandmoreimportantprobleminpeople'sdailylife.Itisofgreatsignificancetodetectthesnoresandevaluatethesleepstatefortheimprovementofthesleepquality.Snoringcanbedefinedasthevoiceouto
2、foralandnasalradiationproducedbythevibrationoftheobstructionparts(suchasthesoftpalate,tongueandthroat),whentheairwayobstructionoccursduringsleeping.Inthispaper,weextractthedistinguishedfeatureparametersfromthetimeandfrequencydomaintodetectthesnoreswiththeprocessor
3、ofIntel(R)Atom(TM).Especiallyweapplythealgorithmofmulti-filteringtoimproveourmonitoringsystemandreducetheerrorrate.Afterdetectingthesnores,thesystemcanevaluatethestateofsleepandapplytheairpumpstochangetheheightofthepillowstoreducethefrequencyofthesnoreing.Throught
4、ests,thesystemreachesthedesirabletargetverywellandprovidesagoodsoftwareinfrastructureandhardwareplatformforfurtherresearch.I.SystemPrinciplesOursystemmainlyrealizesthefunctionsofsnoredetectionandimprovementofthesleepquality.Accordingtotheresultsofthedetections,weu
5、setheairpumpstochangetheheightofthepillows.Ifthesnorewasdetectedfrequently,thepumpswillkeepworkingtoraiseorlowertheheightofthepillows.Withthedifferentheightsofthepillows,peoplewillreducethefrequencyofsnoreing.Themonitoringsystemmainlyconsistsoffourmodules.1.DataCo
6、llectionModuleDatacollectionisrealizedbyanormalmicrophonewithon-boardintegratedsoundcard.Thefrequencybandofthevoiceis20Hzto20000Hz,sothesamplingfrequencythatwechooseis44.1KHz.2.SnoreingDetectionModuleSnoreingdetection[1]canberealizedfromthetimeandfrequencydomains.
