2、es:thestudentteachingsemester,thestudentteachingseminar,theprofessionalportfolio,andoralexaminations.Goal1:1willusemystudentteachingsemestertoobservehowstudentsbestacquirelanguageinapublicschoolsettingandhowtheymaximizetheirlanguagelearninginordertolearnintheothercontentareas
3、.Iwanttolearnmoreaboutwhatkindofinstructionfacilitatesrapidlanguageacquisition.IplantoexperimentwiththeinstructionalbestpracticesandassessmenttoolsthatIhavelearnedintheprogram,whileintegratingthelocalandstatecurriculumstandards.Goal2:Iwanttogrowintoamorereflectiveteacherbymax
4、imizingthelearningopportunitiesofferedbythestudentteachingseminar.Theseincludereading,keepingajournal,reflecting,discussing,debating,andseekingmentoringandfeedbackasIcompletemyprofessionalportfolio.Mygoalistolistenmorethananythingelsesothatmyteachingmightbenefitfromthewisdomt
5、hatmyteachers,mentors,andcolleagueshavetoshare.Goal3:IplantousetheportfolioexperiencenotonlytoshowhowImeetthecompetenciesofaprofessionaleducator,buttolearnaboutanddemonstratewhatkindofteacherIwanttobe,beyondtheofficialstaterequirements.Iwanttobeabletotakeprideinthelearningjou
6、rneyundertakenintheconstructionofmyportfolio,andemergewithsomethingthatreflectsthepassionandinnovationofmyteaching.Goal4:Iplantoundertakeacourseofstudythatculminatesinsuccessfuloralexitexaminations.Iwillchoosethreetextsthataddressthetopicsofpowerandinequalityinlanguagelearnin
