4、omotestudents’furtherlearning.Currentstudiesmainlyfocusonthetypeofquestions,wait—timeafterteacherquestioningandteachers’feedback,butlittleinformationexistsonhowteacherquestioningfunctionsformatively,orhowthesestrategiesareusedtoguidestudents’languagelearning.Tomakeupthislimitation,
5、thepresentstudyattemptstoinvestigatehowteacherquestioningisconductedinEnglishclassroomandiftheformativeroleofquestioninghaseverbeenrealizedthroughquestiontypes,wait-timeandteachers’feedback.Inthisstudy,fourEnglishlessonsofGradeoneinaseniorhighschoolwereobserved.Transcriptsofthereco
6、rdsweremadeandanalyzed.ThetypicalquestioningpaRemI-R-FandcomplicatedI-R⋯FRFchainwereusedtoanalyzequestiontypesandteachers’feedback.Questionnairetostudentsandinterviewwitllteacherswereusedassupplementaryresearchtools.Thequantitativedataandqualitativedatawerecombinedtoinvestigateteac
