4、ewhichusesacombinationoffullscaletestingandmateriallynon-linearthreedimensionalfiniteelementanalyses(FEA)inordertoinvestigateextendedendplatebeam-to-columnconnections.TheFEAanalyses,incorporatingMYSTROandLUSASsoftware[2],useenhancedstrainsolidandcontactgapeleme
5、ntstomodeltheconnectionbehaviour.IntroductionAnextendedendplateconnectionconsistsofaplateweldedinthefabricationshoptotheendofthesteelbeamasshowninFigure1.Theendplateispre-drilledandthenboltedatsitethroughcorrespondingholesinthecolumnflange.Theplateextendsabovet
