2、reactiveenergystoragecomponents,lessharmonicpollutiontothepowernetwork,drawingsinusoidalinputcurrentsandoutputvoltages,allowingtheinputfundamentaldisplacementfactortobesetatunityorfreelyvariedregardlessoftheloadpowerfactor.Besidesthese,itiscapableofperforming
3、outputvoltages’amplitudeandfrequencyconversion,andrealizingbi-directionalpowerflow.Becauseoftheseadvantages,ithasbeenthehotpointofpowerconverterresearch.Firstly,thispaperbrieflydescribedthebasicprincipleofthematrixconverter,generallyintroducedthetopologyandma
4、thematicalmodeloftheMC,discussedtherealizationofthebi-directionalswitch,presentedseveralcontrolstrategiesandcommutationstrategies,andgavetheirscharacteristicofeachstrategythroughcomparisons.Secondly,twokindsofspacevectorcontrolstrategywereanalyzedindetail,tha
5、tisdirectspacevectormodulationstrategyandindirectspacevectormodulationstrategy.ByanalyzingtherelationshipoftheswitchfunctionbetweentheAC-ACdirectconversionstructureandtheequivalentAC-DC-ACconversionstructure,theindirectspacevectorcontrolruleofmatrixconverterw
6、asdeduced,andtheswitchprocedurewasmodifiedtoreducethecommutationfrequencyandswitchingloss.Basedontheindirectspacevectormodulationstrategy,thedirectspacevectormodulationstrategywasgotbymathematicalanalysis.Twosimulationmodelsofmatrixconverterbasedonindirectspa
7、cevectormodulationstrategyweresetupwithMATLABsoftware,thatissimplifiedsimulationmodelandcomplexsimulationmodel.Inthesimplifiedsimulationmodel,thebi-directionalswitchwasconsideredasidealswitch,butintheotherone,thebi-directionalswitchwascomposedoftwoIGBTandtwod
8、iodes.Thesimulationresultsshowedthevirtuesofmatrixconverterandverifiedthecorrectnessandfeasibilityofthecontrolstrategy.Meanwhile,thetraitsandapplicationareaofthetwomodelsweregiven.Lastly,
