3、uffersfromanumberofdrawbacksousMIPv6enhancements.Similarinprincipletootherrecentsuchashighhandoverlatency,packetloss,andconflictwithtransportlayerhandoverschemes[7],thebasicideaofSIGMAnetworksecuritysolutions.Inthispaper,wedescribeandevaluatetheperfor

4、manceofSIGMA,aSeamlessIPdiversitybasedistoexploitIPdiversitytokeeptheoldpathaliveduringGeneralizedMobilityArchitecture.SIGMAutilizesIPdiversitytotheprocessofsettingupthenewpathtoachieveaseamlessachieveaseamlesshandoverofamobilehost,andisdesignedtohan

5、dover.solvemanyofthedrawbacksofMobileIP.VariousaspectsoftheRecently,increasingnumberofmobilenodesareequippedperformanceofSIGMAandMobileIPv6enhancementshavebeenwithmultipleinterfacestotakeadvantageofoverlaynetworkscompared.Criteriaforperformanceevalua

6、tionincludehandoverlatency,packetloss,throughput,andnetworkfriendliness.(suchasWLANandGPRS).ThedevelopmentofSoftwareRadiotechnologyalsoenablesintegratingmultipleinterfaceI.INTRODUCTIONcardsintooneinterface.MobilitysupportingprotocolsshouldMobileIP(MI

7、P)isthestandardproposedbyIETFtohandlebeabletoutilizethesenewhardwareadvancestoimprovemobilityofInternethostsformobiledatacommunication.Fortheperformance.AnewtransportprotocolproposedbyIETF,example,itenablesaTCPconnectiontoremainaliveandcalledStreamCo

8、ntrolTransmissionProtocol(SCTP),hasreceivepacketswhenamobilehostmovesfromonepointrecentlyreceivedmuchattentionfromtheresearchcommu-ofattachmenttoanother.Severaldrawbacksexistwhenusingnity[8].Multihomingisabuilt-infeatureofSCTP,whichMIPinamobilecomput
