3、e-pointfailure,whichmeattheweaknessoffault—tolerant.Thispaperintroducesthefault-tolerantalgorithmandthepasswordauthenticationmechanismtosettletheissuesabove.Theproposedprotocolisafault-tolerantandsecuremulticastkeymanagement(FTS,forshort).Failuredetectorisusedtodynamicallytestthemembers,
4、whichensuresthatFTSwillbeindependentfromthelocationandthestatusofgroupmembers.Inaddition.eachmemberhasauniquepasswordwiththeserver,whichisusedtoencryptordecryptthemassagesinFTSandTFArithemticupdatesthemessagesamongmembers,whichcouldeffectivelypreventinsiderattacks.Finally,tocomparemultic
5、astkeymanagementschemes,communicationcost,computationcost,memorycostandsecurityaretakenastheperformancecriteria.Throughtheoreticalandinstantiationanalysis,wecompareourprotocolwiththeFTKMfromthefouraspectsabove.FTSslightlyincreasesthecomputationcost,butgreatlyreducesthestoragecost.Inconcl
