6、chemesforNIEPS,thecharacteristicsofphasecurrentvaria2tionsbeforeandaftergroundingfaultoccurringareanalyzedinthepaper.Thedifferenceofphasecurrentvariationsbetweenthefaultphaseandanormalphaseinthefaultedfeederequalstothegroundingfaultresidualcurrent,andthedifferencei
7、nthenormalfeederequalstozero.Thefaultresistanceequalstheratiobetweenfaultphasevoltageandfaultcurrent.Thefaultresistancebasedprotectionisthenputforward.Whenthefaultcurrentishigherthanitsthresholdortheresistanceislowerthanitsthreshold,groundingfaultoccursintheprotect
