3、hoxysilanedecreasedwithincreasingtemperatureoftheheattreatment.Maximumyieldwasobtainedafterthetreatmentat723Kwithasiliconconversionof98%andaselectivityof82%in3h.Whentheheat-treatmentiscarriedoutabove623K,theformationoftrimethoxysilanestartsjustafterthefeedofmethanol,while
4、aninductionperiodisobservedwhenthetemperatureoftheheat-treatmentisbelow573K.Intheformercase,thesurfaceofsiliconisexposedtocopper(I)chloridevapororthemelttogiveanintermetallicphase,Cu3Si.Inthelattercase,methanoltakespartintheformationoftheintermetallicphase.Uponthesilicon-
