2、rningneedsofALLstudents.TheoverarchingpurposeofRtIimplementationistoimproveeducationaloutcomesforallstudents.Thetooladdresses10indicatorsofthecurrentlevelimplementation(LOI).Thetoolmaybeusedbyindividualschoolstaffand/orbeusedbyaschoolteamtostimulategroupconversationsand
3、toformulateaschoolprofile.Rateyourschool’scurrentlevelofimplementationbydeterminingevidencetosupportyourconclusion.Todetermine“nextsteps,”itisimportantnotonlytogaugethecurrentimplementationstatusofeachitem,buttoalsodetermineitsrelativepriority.Twobasicplanningformatshav
4、ebeenprovidedattheendofthechecklisttodocumentspecificactionsaroundthetoppriorityitems.Thesepriorityactionsbecometheschool’sRtIfocusfortheacademicschoolyearwhileothersareincludedinthelong-termthreetofiveyearplan..FoundationalprinciplesunderlyingthisRtIstrategy:·RtIisaone
5、ofmanyschoolimprovementstrategiesinastandardsalignedsystemandisapartof,notseparatefrom,theschool’scomprehensiveschoolimprovementplan·Itreliesonthepremisethatallstudentsreceiveresearch-basedandstandards-driveninstructioningeneraleducation.·Thelearningofallstudentsisasses
6、sedearlyandoften(ongoingprogressmonitoring).·Ifthereareconcernsaboutstudentprogress,increasinglyintensetiersofinterventionareavailabletogroupsorindividuals.·Individualstudentdatagatheredthroughtheprocessmaybeusedtodetermineappropriatenessofaspecialeducationreferral(e.g.
