1、AbstractCassiaseedisacommonlyusedtraditionalChineseherb.ItwasfirstlyrecordedinShenNongBenCaoJingandwasclassifiedasatopgradedrug.Atpresent,ithasbeenrecordedinChinesePharmacopoeiasasthedryandripeseedofCassiaobtusifoliaL.orCassiatoraL..Inrecentyearsthedemandsofcassiaseedisincreasinginbothinter

2、nationalanddomesticmarkets.Thisworkisonebranchofthebasicplatformprojectscalled“Standardization,integrationandsharingpilotprojectsofMedicinalplantgermplasmresources”,whichissupportedbyNationalScienceandTechnologyMinistryofScienceandTechnology.ThequalityofCassiaobtusifoliaL.hadbeeninvestigate

3、dandevaluatedinourearlywork.ThefurtherresearchonthequalityofCassiatoraL.andthequalitativecomparisonbetweenCassiaobtusifoliaL.andCassiatoraL.hadbeencarriedoutinthispaper.ThetestingprotocolandqualitystandardofSemenCassiaehavebeenformulatedaswell.Wehaveachievedthefollowingfruitsandinnovation:W

4、ecollected50samplesfrom21countiesin3provincesforthefirsttime,andformulatedtheDescriptionandDataStandardforCassiatoraL..Wedescribedthebiologicalcharacteristicsofeachgermplasmresourcesincluding96items.Wediscoveredthateachgermplasmresourcediffersinmanyaspectssuchasplantmorphology,medicinalchar

5、actersandchemicalcomposition.Thedeviationofgermplasmmaycausethedifferenceinthequalityofdrugs.WealsoinvestigatedthecontrolarticleandthedevelopingsolventsystemofTLCfortheidentificationtestofcassiaseed.InthebasisofCassiaeToraeTLCinChinaPharmacopoeia2005version,addedaurantio-obtusinandemodinasc

6、ontrolarticleforthefirsttime,weperformedTLCofcassiaseedwiththecontrolarticlesofemodin,chryso,phano1physcioneandaurantio-obtusin.Thebestdevelopingsolventsystemisthemixtureofpetroleumether,acetidinandformicacid（15：5：1）.ThechromatographicspotismorepronouncedthanthatofChinesePharmacopoeias2005,

7、andtheRfvalueismorereasonable.Thecontentofemodin,chrysophano1,physcioneandaurantio-obtusininsemencassiaewasdeterminedsimultaneouslybyHPLC.Asaurantio-obtusinisacharacteristicconstituentofsemencassiae,Astheexperimentresultmanifested,therearedifferenceabout
