1、usingnon-thermalplasmageneratedbyDBDinairatatmosphericandlowerpressure,andthesurfacepropertiesoftheuntreatedandpost-treatedsamplesarecharacterizedbymeansofcontactanglemeasurement,scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),atomicforcemicroscopy(AFM),X-rayphotoelect
2、ronspectroscopy(xPs),andX·raydiffraction(XRD).Thefactorsthataffecttheplasmamodificationeffects,suchauspowerdensity,treatmenttime,andpressureintensity,werestudied.Finally,theplasmamodificationeffectsatatmosphericandlowerpressurearecompared,themechanismfo
3、rDBDsurfacemodificationinairisanalyzed,andreasonableexplanationsbasedonthedifferenceofthedischargemechanismanddischargecharacteristicsofDBDinairatatmosphericandlowerpressureisprovidedforunderstandingtheexperimentalresults.Resultsshowthat,theDBDplasmatre
4、atmentinairatatmosphericandlowerpressurechangesthesurfacemorphology,contactangleandsurfaceenergyofpolymerfilms.Andbothofthecontactangleandthesurfaceenergyachievethesaturatedvalueatcertaintreatmenttime.Thepowerdensityshowssignificantinfluenceonthetreatme
5、nteffects.ByincreasingthepowerdensityofDBDtreatment,thelesstreatmenttimeisneededtoobtainthesame仃eatmenteffects.TheAFManalysisshowthattheroughnessincreasesremarkablyafterDBDplasmatreatment.TheXPSanalysisshowthatDBDplasmatreatmentintroducesoxygen-containi
6、ngandnitrogen—containingpolarfunctionalgroupsonthepolymersurfaces.AndtheXRDanalysisshowthatDBDplasmatreatmentcausesmaterialsurfacepropertiesimprovementwithoutinterferingwiththebulkproperties.AsCanbeseen,underthesamepowerdensity,thelowerpressureDBDCanach
7、ievethehighertreatmentefficiencythantheatmosphericpressureDBD.Analysissuggeststhat,theseeffectscouldbeexplainedbythedifferencebetweentheirnumberofactivespeciesavailableforreaction,whichismainlyinducedbythedifferencebetweentheirphysicalmechanismofdischar
