3、relativelyobvious,asfollowing.English,whichoriginatedfromthelanguageoftheSaxonsandtheJutesinthefirsthalfofthe5thAD,hasundergonealonghistoricalperiodofsocialdevelopmentandchanges,especiallyinthereignofinvaderstwice,thelexicalmeaningshadbroughtupintensechanges.Lan
4、guageisthebarometerofthesocietythatismovingforwardconstantly.Languageisthesystemofsymbolsforhumancommunication,changingwiththedevelopmentofsociety.Lexicalchangesareoneoftheimportantaspectsoflanguagechange,andtheyreflectthedevelopmentandchangesofthesocietyfaithfu
5、llyandtimelyduetotheircloseconnectionswithit.Accompanywiththechangesofthethings,phenomenonandbehavior,alsowiththesocialadvancement,politicalchangesaswellastherapid24developmentofscienceandtechnology,thewordsaregivennewmeanings,andthereforelexicalmeaningsvaryinev
6、itably.Thedevelopmentoflanguagealways,whichproceedsinaccordancewiththecertainlaw,leadstothechangesofwordmeanings,suchasthatthemeaningexplainedinafewwordsoriginallythrowtheemphasisontooneword,allthesametheomissionofwordsmakesthemeaningofawordchanged.Thelatterpoin
