5、tressraisersintheprimaryshearzone.Asaresult,thechipsproducedbreakupeasilyandaresmall;thisimprovesimpregnability.Thesize,shape,distribution,andconcentrationoftheseinclusionssignificantlyinfluenceimpregnability.Elementssuchastelluriumandselenium,whicharebothchemicallysimilartosulfur,a
6、ctasinclusionmodifiersinSulfuricsteels.Phosphorusinsteelshastwomajoreffects.Itstrengthensthedeterring,causingincreasedhardness.Hardersteelsresultinbetterchipformationandsurfacefinish.Notethatsoftsteelscanbedifficulttomachine,withbuilt-upedgeformationandpoorsurfacefinish.Thesecondeff
