3、nfluencedherlife.Violentracismandfamilypovertyhadleftapermanentimpressiononherwriting.In1965,WalkerwasinvolvedinCivilRightsMovementfollowinghergraduation,whichinfluencedherwritingofhernovels,suchasTheThirdLifeofGrangeCopeland(1970),Meridian(1976)andTheColorPurple.SheevenmarriedaJewishCivilRigh
