4、theIndustrialRevolution.Today,wealsoliveinaworldofcontradictions.Ontheonehand,withgrowingmaterialwealthandadvancesinscienceandtechnology,humancivilizationhasdevelopedasneverbefore.Ontheotherhand,frequentregionalconflicts,globalchallengesliketerrorismandrefugees,aswellas
5、poverty,unemploymentandwideningincomegaphavealladdedtotheuncertaintiesoftheworld.Manypeoplefeelbewilderedandwonder:Whathasgonewrongwiththeworld?Toanswerthisquestion,onemustfirsttrackthesourceoftheproblem.Someblameeconomicglobalizationforthechaosintheworld.Economicglobal
6、izationwasonceviewedasthetreasurecavefoundbyAliBabainTheArabianNights,butithasnowbecomethePandora’sboxintheeyesofmany.Theinternationalcommunityfindsitselfinaheateddebateoneconomicglobalization.Today,Iwishtoaddresstheglobaleconomyinthecontextofeconomicglobalization.Thepo
7、intIwanttomakeisthatmanyoftheproblemstroublingtheworldarenotcausedbyeconomicglobalization.Forinstance,therefugeewavesfromtheMiddleEastandNorthAfricainrecentyearshavebecomeaglobalconcern.Severalmillionpeoplehavebeendisplaced,andsomesmallchildrenlosttheirliveswhilecrossin
