3、dallformsofhumanlife.Andyetthesamerevolutionarybeliefsforwhichourforebearsfoughtarestillatissuearoundtheglobe--thebeliefthattherightsofmancomenotfromthegenerosityofthestate,butfromthehandofGod. Wedarenotforgettodaythatwearetheheirsofthatfirstrevolution.Letthewordgoforth
4、fromthistimeandplace,tofriendandfoealike,thatthetorchhasbeenpassedtoanewgenerationofAmericans--borninthiscentury,temperedbywar,disciplinedbyahardandbitterpeace,proudofourancientheritage--andunwillingtowitnessorpermittheslowundoingofthosehumanrightstowhichthisNationhasalw

Leteverynationknow,whetheritwishesuswellorill,thatweshallpayanyprice,bearanyburden,meetanyhardship,supportanyfriend,opposeanyfoe,inordertoassurethesurvivalandthesuccessofliberty. Thismuchwepledge--
