4、eywords]Trollopianrealism;Socialproblemnovel;Characterization;Morality论文摘要石19世纪英国维多利亚时代工业化进程迅猛，随着社会在经济、文化等各方面发生的巨大变革，人们逐渐抛弃传统的封建血统道德观念，拥抱资本主义的金钱价值观，社会上出现了两种观念并存和冲突的现象:火~_一~英国小说在这样的历史背景下迎来其黄金时代，诞生了以狄更斯为代表的一大批现实主义小说家，其中丰产作家安东尼·托罗洛普以其广受读者欢迎的社会问题系列小说占有举足轻重的历史地位。论文以托罗洛普小说的人物塑造为切入点，选取四组典型人物(即其教会小说中的绅士牧
