2、isasoftwaretoolkitforbothfullandfastMonteCarlosimulationofdetectorsinhigh-energyphysicsexperiments.Ithasbeendevelopedunderaworldwidecollaborationofabout100scientists,comingfromover40institutesandHEPexperimentgroupsin15countries.The"rstproductionversionofGeant4wasreleasedinDecember
3、1998.Inthisreport,thepresentstatusofthetoolkitissummarized.(2000PublishedbyElsevierScienceB.V.Allrightsreserved.1.IntroductionweaccumulatedbasicuserrequirementsfromtheHEPcommunity.AlsotakenintoaccountwereGeant4isageneral-purposesimulationtoolkitrequirementsfromspaceandcosmicrayapp
4、lica-forparticledetectors.Itprovidesbasicfunctional-tions,nuclearandradiationcomputations,heavyityofsimulationastodescribedetectorgeometryionandmedicalapplications.RD44"nisheditsandmaterials,totransportparticle,todescribemandatebyreleasingthe"rstproductionversionindetectorresponse
5、andtovisualizesimulationDecemberof1998.Afterthisrelease,majorHEPrelatedinformation.Italsoprovidesextensivelaboratoriesandexperimentsovertheworldphysicsmodelstodescribeinteractionsofparticlesformedanewinternationalcollaboration}Geant4,withmatteracrossawideenergyrange.Itwaswhichisba
