3、insfromlabordivisionandspecialization.Thus,thetradeoffbetweenthetwoforcesdeterminestheleveloffragment.Inordertocopewithtransactioncosts,ontheonehand,theeconomicrelationship’sabilitytosupporthighertransactioncostsbymarketsizeexpansionoragrariantechnologyprogressmustbestrengthened,andontheot

4、herhand,contractualarrangementsshouldbeusedtoreducethesecostsdirectly.However,becausetransactioncostsarealwayspositiveinrealworldandkeeponincreasingduringtheevolutionofagriculturaltenancyhistoryduetothepersistentfragmentoflandpropertyrights,asshowninthepaper,theagriculturecannotrealizeecon
