5、spaperarticleannouncingthatKennesawStateUniversitywasbeginningaDoctorofBusinessAdministrationprogram.Forthenext3+years,ithasbeenatremendousrollercoasterridewithplentyof“ups”aswellasafew“downs.”Theideaofthisdissertationcamerightatthebeginningoftheprogram.Foroverhalfofmybusinesscare
6、er,Iwasinvolvedinafamilybusinessthatincludedmymother,father,sister,brother-in-lawandmywife(someofthetime).InMay,2009,IattendedthereceptionfortheCoxFamilyEnterpriseCenter’sGeorgiaFamilyBusinessesoftheYearawards.Thecompanythatwoninthelargecategoryawardwasamulti-familybusiness.Ithoug
7、httomyself,“IknowthetrialsandtribulationsthatIwentthroughwithonefamilytodealwith,andweareaveryclose-knitfamily.”Icouldonlyimaginewhatthesefamiliesweredealingwith,havingtodealwiththeirownfamilydynamic,aswellashavingtodealwiththe‘other’familyandit’sdynamic.Withinafewdays,Iapproached
