4、nsesduringsurgery.ThisprospectivestudywasdesignedtoinvestigatetheeffectsofremifentanilwithrespecttohemodynamicsindiabeticswithCardiacAutonomicNeuropathy(CAN).Methods:Westudied43patients(ASAI-III)scheduledforelectiveabdominallaparoscopicsurgery.Cardiovascularautonomicf
5、unctionwasexaminedpreoperativelybyacombinationoftests.Thepatientswerethendividedintothefollowinggroups:GroupI(n=12)diabeticswithCAN,GroupII(n=12)diabeticswithoutCAN,GroupIII(n=19)non-diabetics.Forallpatients,anesthesiawasinducedwithpropofol(1.5mg/kg),remifentanil(1µg/
6、kg),rocuronium(0.6mg/kg),anditwasthenmaintainedwithainfusionofremifentanil(0.25-0.5µg/kg/min)andsevoflurane.MeanArterialPressure(MAP)andHeartRate(HR)wererecordedatbaseline(T0),1minafteranesthesiainduction(T1),1minaftertrachealintubation(T2),thereafterat10,20,30minafte
7、rintubation(respectively;T3,T4,T5)and1minaftertrachealextubation(T6).Perioperativecomplications,meaninfusionrateofremifentanilandextubationtimewererecorded.Results:ThevariabilityofMAPwassignificantlyhigherinGroupIthanintheothertwogroups(p<0.05).HRvariabilitywassimilar
