3、hercontentsnotlistedintheteachingplancalledhiddencurriculum.Inthelastdecade,therehasbeentextreformsinCollegeEnglishandrevisioninthecurriculumofEnglishmajorwhichindicatesthattheformalcurriculuminEnglishteachinghasbeenobviouslyfocusedon,whileitisnotthesamewiththehiddencurriculumwhich

4、greatlyaffectsthequalityofCollegeEnglishteaching.Andcurrently,the10drawbackofCollegeEnglishteachingshowsthefailureinobtainingthedesirableeffectinteaching.Therefore,weneedtolookingreaterdetailatthenatureandthefunctionofthehiddencurriculumandhowitaffectsconceptionsofsuccessandfailure

5、withintheeducationsystem.　　2TheNatureofHiddenCurriculum　　“Hiddencurriculum”,originallycoinedbyPhilipWesleyJackson("LifeinClassrooms",1968),isusedbyeducatorshistoricallyinthreeprimarysenses:1)tomeanakindofindoctrinationthatattemptstomaintainsocialprivilege--oresotericknowledgeandpra
