4、sttoquantifythescaleofBritishchildren'sexposure,orlackofit,tothenaturalworld.Theycameupwithadefinitionofwhat“connectedtonature”actuallymeansandthendevelopedaquestionnairewith16statementsdesignedtoassessthelevelofconnectionamongchildren.Some1，200childrenfromacrosstheUK

5、wereaskedtoagreeordisagreewiththesestatements.Only21%ofchildrenintheUKhadalevelofconnectionwithwildlifeandthenaturalworldthattheRSPBbelievesshouldberealisticandachievableforallyoungsters.This“realisticandachievable’，valueisbasedontheaveragescoresofchildrenvisitingRSPB
