3、heformofdigitalimagesandtexts.Theprojectalsoaddressesissuesrelatedtoallpartsofthedigitisationprocessandprovidesbestpracticerecommendationsforhighlyautomated,effectiveworkflows.Inordertodetermineandcreateservicesandtoolsfortheanalysisofthedigitalnewspapertextcorporalibrariesn
4、eedtocloselyallywithusersanddevelopersandcooperateinpractice.Thenecessaryprerequisiteforallfuturework,theavailabilityofdigitaltextcorporaofreasonablequality,cannotbeensuredexclusivelybyautomatedprocessingbutratherrequiresastep-by-stepapproachincludingsomedegreeofhumaninterve
5、ntion.Correctingtextsinajointeffortatdifferentplaces,i.e.localnewspaperwebpagesandtheEuropeanportals,requiressoundtechnicalsolutionsandnon-technicalagreementsthatcanonlybereachedinclosecooperationwithusercommunities.Keywords:HistoricNewspapers,services,digitaltextcorpora,OCR
