2、orssales,the8051familyofmicrocontrollersisavailableinawidearrayofvariationsfrommanufacturerssuchasIntel,Philips,andSiemens.Thesemanufacturershaveaddednumerousfeaturesandperipheralstothe8051suchasI2Cinterfaces,analogtodigitalconverters,watchdogtimers,andpuls

3、ewidthmodulatedoutputs.Variationsofthe8051withclockspeedsupto40MHzandvoltagerequirementsdownto1.5voltsareavailable.Thiswiderangeofpartsbasedononecoremakesthe8051familyanexcellentchoiceasthebasearchitectureforacompany'sentirelineofproductssinceitcanperformma

5、ylevels6·128bytesofonboardRAM7·separate64KbyteaddressspacesforDATAandCODEmemoryOne8051processorcycleconsistsoftwelveoscillatorperiods.Eachofthetwelveoscillatorperiodsisusedforaspecialfunctionbythe8051coresuchasopcodefetchesandsamplesoftheinterruptdaisychain

6、forpendinginterrupts.Thetimerequiredforany8051instructioncanbecomputedbydividingtheclockfrequencyby12,invertingthatresultandmultiplyingitbythenumberofprocessorcyclesrequiredbytheinstructioninquestion.Therefore,ifyouhaveasystemwhichisusingan11.059MHzclock,yo
