2、rcapacitororsupercapacitor.Capacitorsarefundamentalelectricalcircuitelementsthatstoreelectricalenergyintheorderofmicrofaradsandassistinfiltering.Capacitorshavetwomainapplications;oneofwhichisafunctiontochargeordischargeelectricity.Thisfunctionisappliedtosmooth
3、ingcircuitsofpowersupplies,backupcircuitsofmicrocomputers,andtimercircuitsthatmakeuseoftheperiodstochargeordischargeelectricity.TheotherisafunctiontoblocktheflowofDC.Thisfunctionisappliedtofiltersthatextractoreliminateparticularfrequencies.Thisisindispensablet
4、ocircuitswhereexcellentfrequencycharacteristicsarerequired.Electrolyticcapacitorsarenextgenerationcapacitorswhicharecommercializedinfullscale.Theyaresimilartobatteriesincellconstructionbuttheanodeandcathodematerialsremainthesame.Theyarealuminum,tantalumandcera
5、miccapacitorswheretheyusesolid/liquidelectrolyteswithaseparatorbetweentwosymmetricalelectrodes.Anelectrochemicalcapacitor(EC),oftencalledaSupercapacitororUltracapacitor,storeselectricalchargeintheelectricdoublelayeratasurface-electrolyteinterface,primarilyinhi
6、gh-surface-areacarbon.Becauseofthehighsurfaceareaandthethinnessofthedoublelayer,thesedevicescanhaveveryahighspecificandvolumetriccapacitance.Thisenablesthemtocombineapreviouslyunattainablecapacitancedensitywithanessentiallyunlimitedcharge/dischargecyclelife.Th
