2、andturbulentenvironment.Threehundredandfiftyhollowspheresweresubmergedina200-gallonglasswater-filledtank.Armatures,modeledaftercarbonatoms,followedintramolecularcovalentbondinggeometrieswithinatoms.Intermolecularstructuresformedasspheresinteractedwithoneanother

3、in1,2,or3-Dimensionalpatterns.Thehighlydynamicself-assemblycharacteristicofthesystemoffersaglimpseatmaterialphase-changebetweencrystallinesolid,liquid,andgaseousstates.Turbulenceinthewaterintroducedstochasticenergyintothesystem,increasingtheentropyandallowingst

4、ructurestoself-assemble;thus,transitioningbetweengas,liquid,andsolidphases.Polymorphismcouldbeobservedwherethesamestructurescouldsolidifyinmorethanonecrystallineform,demonstratingtheversatilenatureofcarbonasabuildingblockforlife. FluidCrystallizationBioMolecula

6、larself-assemblythroughtangibleandphysicalmodels.Thegeometryandmaterialcomponentsarebasedonvariousmolecularstructuresincludingthetobaccoplantvirus,aferritinproteinassemblyandcatecholdioxygenaseenzyme.Eachbeakercontainsasinglemolecularstructurecoloredeitherwhite
