3、nthefirstplace.Warstakeplacewhendifferentcountrieshaveconflictingbenefits,whichisunlikelytobeeliminatedaslongastheboundariesbetweencountriesstillexist.Forinstance,intheMiddleEastwherewaterisextremelyscarce,manycountriesareinconflictincontentionforwaterresourc
4、es.Sinceeverycountryactsforthesakeofitsownbenefit,itseemsthatpeopleintheregionareincapableoflivingtogetherinharmony.Eternalworldpeace,therefore,isunlikelytobeachievedinourlifetime.Environmentaldestructionemergednotlongbeforebutitisbecomingincreasinglyseverean
5、dcannotbeignored.Withthelarge-scaleutilizationoffossilfuelsandrapiddevelopmentofindustry,hugeamountsofpollutantsarebeingproduced,contaminatingtheenvironmenttoalargedegree.Thedisposalofthesepollutantsbeingatoughtask,itishardlypossiblethatwecancompletelygetrido
6、fthemwithinashortperiodoftime.Furthermore,evenifwecancomeupwithoptimalmethodsfordealingwiththesesubstances,thereremainstheproblemthatthesemethodsmaycosttoomuchandobstructthedevelopmentofeconomy.Lastbutnotleast,thewell-beingofpeoplearoundtheworldisthreatenedby
7、avarietyofdiseases,rangingfromAIDStocancer,thecuresforwhichhavenotbeendiscoveredyet.Diseasessetoffpanicsamonghumans,affecttheirnormallifeandleavepeoplebadlyoffwiththehighmedicalexpenses.Therearethousandsofscientistsdevotingthemselvestofindingcurefordiseases,b
