5、italdegeneracyshouldbeliftedbyathequantizationofmomentumimposedbyperiodicmagneticfieldparalleltotheCNTaxis[Fig.1(a)].Thisboundaryconditionsalongthenanotubecircumferenceeffectcanbeunderstoodbynotingthat,duetoclockwise[1].Thissymmetryresultsinafourfolddegenerateshellandanticlockwisemotionaroundthetube,
6、electronsinstructureintheenergyspectrumofCNTquantumdotsdegenerateandsubbandsshouldhaveoppositeorbital(QDs).InearlyexperimentsonCNTQDs[2,3],however,magneticmoments,orb.InthecaseoffinitelengthCNTs,thissymmetrywasnotobserved,presumablyduetotheadiscreteenergyspectrumisexpectedfromsizequantiza-presence
