2、武术的一个项目，开发武术短兵运动有助于丰富武术的内涵，促进武术发展，扩大武术的消费群体，还有对发扬中华武术这一民族瑰宝具有重要的现实意义。由于武术短兵运动的特点和作用，使得该项目具有很高的社会实用价值，也正因如此，社会市场对其人才需求也在逐渐地增大。社会市场需求是高校开办专业方向的前提和动力，也是课程设置的重要依据。短兵运动的开发，依托学校的优势得以更好地完善，依托这一基地能更快地向社会辐射并加以普及和推广。相反，学校通过开展武术短兵运动，有助于拓宽培养人才的渠道，促进学校课程的建设，激发学生从事武术运动的积
