1、Abstract．ThestudentsinsecondaryvocationalschoolarenotgoodatEnglishwriting．AlthoughtheEnglishteachershavemadegreateffortstoimprovethestudents’writingcompetence，thesituationdidn’tchange．Thepreconditionoflanguageoutputislanguageinput．Withoutinput，outputi

2、slikewaterwithoutasource．Inordertochangestudent’swritingsituation,therefore，thefirststepistoreformEnglishreadingteaching．Basedoninputhypothesisandthestudiesmadeinsuchafieldpreviously,twoideasforimprovementhavebeenproposedinthethesis．111cyare(1)improvi

3、ngthequalityandquantityofreading；(2)combiningreadingactivitieswithwritingactivities．Englishwritingcanbeimprovedthroughreadinginstructionreform．Tobeginwith,theauthorrecognizesthemainproblemsinthestudents’writingthrougherroranalysis，qtiestionnairesurvey

4、andinterview．Themainproblemsinthestudents’writingare1)lackoflearninginterestandinitiative；2)withoutgoodlearninghabits；3)limitedlearningstrategies．Afterthat，theauthorgivessomesuggestionforimprovingreadingteaching：1)combiningemotionalcultivationwithcogn

5、itiveimprovement；2)combiningdiscoursewithphrases；3)combiningreadingwithwriting；4)combiningknowledgeteachingwithskillpractice；5)highlightthedifferencebetweenChinesecultureandEnglish-speakingcountryculture．Followingtheabove，theauthorputsforwardeightprin

8、odofEnglishreadingbytheexperimentalresearches．ThenewEnglishwritingteachingmodelnotonlycanimprovethestudents’Englishwritinglevel，butalsocanimprovethelengthofcomposition,enlargethenumberofeffectivewords，increasethequantityofrelatingsentencesandp
